Many players don’t have the time to play live chess tournaments because they are very time and cost intensive. You have to take a travel to the location and have a hotel room. This is why a big audience have interest in such online chess titles. I already got my first FIDE Title Online. I am a Arena Candidate Master! I will tell you here what you have to do for it.
What you need?
First you need a FIDE-ID wich you can get from the official FIDE Site or with the registration on Chessarena and a PRO subscription. At the Second case Worldchess will create the FIDE-ID for you.
What Titles are Provided?
There are four titles wich are provided by FIDE. For this titles you need to play the so called FOA Rating games.
👑 Arena Grandmaster (AGM)
Rating 2000; the player must maintain the rating at or above 2000 for 50 games for Rapid time control or 100 games for Blitz or 150 games for Bullet to qualify for the online title.
👑 Arena International Master (AIM)
Rating 1700; the player must maintain the rating at or above 1700 for 50 games for Rapid time control or 100 games for Blitz or 150 games for Bullet to qualify for the online title.
👑 Arena FIDE Master (AFM)
Rating 1400; the player must maintain the rating at or above 1400 for 50 games for Rapid time control or 100 games for Blitz or 150 games for Bullet to qualify for the online title.
👑 Arena Candidate Master (ACM)
Rating 1100; the player must maintain the rating at or above 1100 for 50 games for Rapid time control or 100 games for Blitz or 150 games for Bullet to qualify for the online title.
What are the time limit categories
- Bullet (1, 1+1, 1+2, 2, 2+1/ min)
- Blitz (ab 3 – 10 min)
- Rapid (von 10 + 10 bis 45 + 10/ min)
Costs
Previously, a fee had to be paid for these titles, just like for the real titles. With the new subscription structure, the title fees are already included in the membership, so there are no additional costs for the titles.
Conclusion
